Profile
PracticeKora Kwok is a visual artist and writer based in Hong Kong. His work explores the relationship between place, ritual, and community, examining how spaces, objects, and shared experiences shape meaning and connection.
Working with space as a primary medium, his practice spans sculpture, installation, and large-scale public works. Through site-specific interventions and research, he investigates the cultural, social, and emotional textures that define a place. Notable projects include Monolith (for new mexico), a concrete sculpture situated in the mountains of New Mexico, and Solar Flare, a sculpture suspended above a Vietnamese garden canopy.
ResidencyKwok is the co-founder of EXPERIMENT Residency, a global, artist-led program built on the belief that creativity flourishes through exchange. Each residency is place-based and shaped by its local context. Working in dialogue with the communities and environments of each location, the residency encourages artists to not only draw inspiration from their surroundings, but also to share their knowledge, craft, and perspectives in return.
Since 2025, EXPERIMENT has hosted four programs across Berlin and Vietnam, with an international cohort of over twenty alumni artists.
WritingKwok is an architecure and design contributor at PostMag (South China Morning Post). He is also the author of the sea, the sky, the sun (Chroma Books, 2025), an experimental visual memoir that blends prose, photography, and journal fragments to chronicle a year of becoming.
